Caribe Island Resort: An amazing experience on an awesome island
A Guest from Kansasville, WI recommends this property

We began our search for a condo to accommodate 8 people on Ambergris Caye early in 2009. Narrowing our choices, we decided on Caribe Island Resort mostly because of the sleeping arrangement of the Palm Suite(2 bedrooms w/ queen beds and a large loft w/queen
bed and twin bed, and hide-a-bed in living room). We also liked the pool area(some resorts on the caye don't even have a pool), the pier(even caught fish!), and overall look of the interior and exterior(nice grounds, clean pool!) of the resort. Our suite has
a well equipped kitchen, even a blender for margaritas, but no oven or corkscrew(no big deal, we borrowed one from the neighbor, who were mostly owners and very friendly, helpful and informative). The plumbing, namely leaky toilets, were our only real disappointment.
Although, we told Eric and he seemed ready to "get right on it", so hopefully that issue is already resolved. After getting much help from two of the condo owners(thanks, Tim & Kent!)we felt well prepared for our stay. Even though we were in the middle of
the property management change, Anna & Eric made that transition very smooth. They were attentive to our needs and requests, although I would recommend leaving more toilet paper right from the get-go, so guests don't have to bug you for those types of incidentals
:) Anna connected us with our very own personal taxi driver, George, who is now our close personal friend. We LOVED George!! He not only was attentive, prompt and reliable, he went WAY beyond what you would expect in a taxi driver, by, for example, going to
the home of a local merchant after business hours, to get us a gallon of the most incredible fresh squeezed orange juice you have ever tasted!(his stand is located near the San Pedro Supermarket)We needed George's services almost daily, as the condo complex
is 2 1/2 miles from San Pedro town, but we found this location just fine, as we were in a safer part of the island and away from the nightlife and nois
